The BioSkrubber™ process developed by IETL is a biological desulphurization technology that uses Thiobacillus bacteria to oxidize hydrogen sulphide into elemental sulphur. Unlike conventional chemicals-intensive systems, the BioSkrubber™ operates with minimal chemical consumption, produces no hazardous waste, and delivers exceptional removal efficiency even at high H₂S concentrations. The recovered sulphur slurry is refined into Sulfabact®, a bio-fertilizer used in agriculture. With over 50 installations, the BioSkrubber™ has emerged as one of the most reliable and eco-friendly solutions for H₂S removal in biogas, natural gas and STP applications.
